Across the Cosmos Book Battle Update

It's the middle of the month and I need to update and adjust my book selections for this month's Book Battle. I will post the reviews of what I read after the challenge is over. Since I've been reading so much I haven't watched as many sci-fi movies as I wanted to for the Movie Melee, but hopefully I can fit some in this weekend.
